A gigantic crack in the ice is making a new floating ice shelves. This is occurring in Larsen C and the fissure will free one berg one-quarter the size of Wales.
This crack has been there for many years; the problem is that in the last 5 months has grown as much as between the years 2010 and 2014.
But this is not the first case of one thing like this occurred: in 2002 one berg was released. This berg begins to turn in other direction and finally was stuck in a place of shallow water.

It is probably too late to prevent it from being released but we have to do everything possible so that this could not happen again.
